UNDP
has appointed Local Distributors
under the NCCoPP Equipment Support
Scheme (ESS). to facilitate the
tasks of distribution at the local
level.
The distribution of equipment is being done in phases in the country. During 2004-05, distribution commenced in the states of Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu, including Pondicherry . In the second phase (2005-06), distribution of equipment began in additional states viz. Kerala, Gujarat , Maharashtra Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi , Chandigarh , Uttranchal, Haryana, Punjab , Himachal Pradesh and Jammu & Kashmir.
The role of distributor
begins on receipt of the final consolidated
list from GTZ – Proklima.
The RSEs are informed about their
being selected and collection of
equipment from the local distributor.
The Local Distributor plays a crucial role as a link between GTZ Proklima and RSEs. He collects the drafts, gives demos of how the equipment operates, and handovers the equipment to RSEs.
Responsibilities of the Local Distributor include:

Collecting the RSEs contributions
towards the packages selected
by RSEs. |

Providing services for transportation,
handling, and delivery of the
equipment packages to individual
recipient RSEs. |

Ensuring that the equipment
kits supplied to individual
RSEs are satisfactorily assembled
and in working order. |

Receiving bank drafts from RSEs. |
• |
Dispatching the bank drafts
to the GTZ Proklima office in
Delhi . |
Receipt of Equipment by RSEs:
On receiving a letter from the RSEs submit a draft towards the contribution to the Local Distributor who gives a demo and handovers the equipment.

We thank all those who have submitted Expression of Interest (EOI).We are also glad to inform that those RSEs who had expressed their interest and were short listed by the core group, have started receiving their equipment kits.
