Electronic Sector Skills Council of India (ESSCI)

Electronics Sector Skills Council of India (ESSCI’s) is a Not–for–Profit Organization, registered under the Indian Companies Act, 1956.The Council has been promoted by Five Associations i.e. CEAMA, ELCINA, IESA, IPCA, MAIT & ELCOMA with financial support by National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC). ESSCI is focused on establishing an effective and efficient ecosystem for developing and imparting of outcome-oriented skills for the Electronics Systems, Design and Manufacturing (ESDM). ESSCI is responsible for standardization, accreditation and certification processes in ESDM.
In August 2018, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Ministries of Environment, Forest and Climate Change and Skill Development and Entrepreneurship to jointly undertake upskilling and certification of 100,000 RAC service technicians on good servicing practices and knowledge of alternative refrigerants to ozone-depleting chemicals. The project will be funded under the Skill India Mission – Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) and will be jointly implemented by ESSCI and Ozone Cell.
